Ducted Vacuums for your renovated home

  • What is a Hide-A-Hose central vacuum system?

Hide-A-Hose is a type of central vacuum system that features retractable hoses built into the walls of your home. With this system, you simply pull out the hose as far as you need it and start cleaning. When you're finished, the suction from the vacuum automatically retracts the hose back into the wall, making cleanup quick and easy.

    What are Vacpans?

Vacpans and Mini Vacs are types of central vacuum system accessories. Vacpans are small, foot-operated suction points that are installed in the baseboards of your home. They allow you to quickly sweep dirt and debris directly into the suction point without needing to bend down or use a dustpan.

What is the Electron EVS central vacuum system?

The Electron EVS is a high-quality central vacuum system that uses disposable bags to collect dirt and debris. This system is designed for easy maintenance, with a filter that can be easily cleaned or replaced as needed. The Electron EVS also features a quiet motor and a large-capacity dirt canister, making it a great choice for homeowners with large homes or multiple levels.

  • Central vacuums work by using a powerful motor located in a central unit, typically installed in a utility room or garage. The motor creates suction, which is carried through a network of pipes installed in the walls or floors of a building, leading to inlet valves in various rooms or areas. These inlet valves are where the user connects a hose and cleaning tool to the central vacuum system.

When the hose is attached to an inlet valve and the central vacuum is turned on, the suction created by the motor pulls air and debris through the hose, and into the network of pipes, and ultimately into the central unit's collection bin or bag. The collected debris is then stored in the collection bin or bag until it is emptied or replaced.

Some central vacuums also feature additional components such as filters, which can help to remove dust and allergens from the air, and powerheads or brushes, which can aid in cleaning carpets and other surfaces. Overall, central vacuums offer a powerful and convenient cleaning solution for larger homes and buildings.

  • Improved Air Quality: Central vacuum systems remove dirt, dust, and allergens from the air, providing a cleaner and healthier living environment for your family.

Convenience: With a central vacuum system, you no longer need to carry a heavy vacuum cleaner up and down stairs or drag it from room to room. Simply plug in the hose and clean the area.

Efficiency: Central vacuums have a more powerful suction, meaning they can clean more effectively and in less time.

Quiet Operation: Central vacuum systems operate quietly, making it easier to clean without disturbing other members of your household.

Longevity: Central vacuum systems are built to last and can often outlast traditional vacuum cleaners, saving your family money in the long run.

Increased Home Value: A central vacuum system can increase the value of your home and be a selling point to potential buyers.

Overall, a central vacuum system can provide a cleaner, healthier, and more convenient living environment for your family.

How do I know which central vacuum system to install?

There are a few factors that will help you know which central vacuum system to install. We have installed systems in almost every possible location. Including rest homes, small hotels, hairdressers, mosques, churches, large homes, and apartments. Below are some of the considerations that we ask about to find the right system for our customers

House size

The size of a house can affect the type of central vacuum system that should be installed. Larger homes may require more powerful units and longer hoses to efficiently clean all areas, while smaller homes may be adequately served by a smaller, less powerful system. It is important to consider the size of the home and individual cleaning needs when selecting a central vacuum system.

Distance between inlets

When installing a central vacuum system, it is important to strategically place the inlets throughout the home. Inlets are typically installed on the walls and should be placed in high-traffic areas and near where dirt and debris are likely to accumulate, such as in the hallways, living room, and garages. The number and placement of inlets will depend on the size and layout of the home, as well as the desired level of convenience and efficiency. We have a variety of hoses lengths that range between 10m -18m.

The type of house construction

The type of house construction can affect the installation of a central vacuum system in many ways. For example, a house with a concrete slab foundation may require different installation techniques than a house with a crawl space or basement. The placement of steal beams or firewalls are also considered. Because it's so important to consider the construction materials of your home it is best to talk with our team early in the planning process.

How you will use your central vacuum system.

The type of central vacuum system you need will depend on how you plan to use it. For example, businesses like hairdressers and retirement homes may require additional features such as specialized cleaning tools and larger capacity systems. For households, the size of the home and frequency of use will determine the type of system needed. An apartment may only require a mini vac while a larger home may need a full-sized central vacuum system with inlets throughout the house, and additional features like a vacpan in the kitchen or a hide-a-hose system for easy access.

Budget

Your budget is an important consideration when choosing a central vacuum system. Larger homes and more complex systems may require a higher initial investment but can provide long-term savings through increased efficiency and improved air quality. However, for smaller homes or those with a more modest budget, a simpler system or a portable vacuum may be a more practical choice. Ultimately, it is important to weigh the benefits and costs of different options to find the best fit for your home and budget.
